Leonardo Marín Arévalo (Student Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Cuenca University, Cuenca, Ecuador, in 2005, and the M.S. degree in automatic systems and industrial electronics engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2015. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering with the Renewable Electrical Energy System Research Centre, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). From 2019 to 2021 he worked as Research Assistant in Universidad Loyola Andalucía and in 2022 he joined to Nordex - Acciona Windpower working as Electrical Engineer Grid Integration. He currently works at eRoots Analytics as Senior Development Engineer. His research interests include the dynamic and stability analyses of power systems with high-penetration of renewable energies, HVDC and hybrid systems, distributed generation systems, and microgrids.
