Pol Díaz i Font received the bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering from the School of Industrial Engineering of Barcelona (ETSEIB), Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2020 and enrolled in master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, at the same school, in 2021 (expected graduation date May 2023). Gained both theoretical and in the field experience in traction batteries, inverters and traction electric motors during his year-and-a-half stay at Applus IDIADA and in energy storage systems in general towards realization of his degree’s final thesis about battery modelling strategies. Since September 2022 he is an eRoots intern focused on electrical and control studies in the wind energy field. He is also currently finishing his master’s final thesis about power electronics analysis, system identification and design techniques applied to voltage source converters. He defines himself as a creative thinker and team player interested in the energy industry, particularly in transmission networks, wind power, solar energy and grid integration that has a passion for learning and developing new and existing skills.
